Kramer Service Group was contracted by a regional investor-owned utility to engineer, procure materials for, and construct approximately 436 miles of dedicated fiber optic cable routes across Central Iowa.
The project encompasses three distinct route segments connecting multiple utility substations and facilities as part of the utility's broadband extension initiative under federal infrastructure funding.
KSG is responsible for delivering complete outside plant construction including route engineering, permitting, material procurement, conduit installation via HDD, trenching, plowing, fiber splicing, OTDR testing, GPS mapping, and as-built documentation.
Full adherence to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates, Build America Buy America domestic content requirements, and Copeland Anti-Kickback Act provisions.
