Segment 4 Phase 1 | West Des Moines, Iowa
Kramer Service Group partnered with the City of West Des Moines to construct outside plant conduit infrastructure for Segment 4 Phase 1 of the City's Digital Enterprise initiative.
This project represented a continuation of the City's multi-phase effort to deploy a multi-user fiber conduit network within public right-of-way, designed to support connectivity for every residence and business.
KSG delivered complete construction services including horizontal directional drilling, installation of City-provided vaults, tracer wire systems with test stations, and full site restoration.

Massive Conduit Network
Installed over 280,554 linear feet of multi-configuration HDPE conduit including 7-way microduct, orange, green, blue, and blue-stripe conduit configurations.
907 Vaults Installed
523 small round, 234 medium round, 76 large round, 73 large rectangular, and 1 extra large rectangular vault.
Comprehensive Locate System
142,113 LF of copper-clad steel tracer wire with 314 combined test station and anode assemblies, tested for locatability at 512 Hz.
Precision As-Built Records
Horizontal locations in NAD 1983 Iowa South 1402 with 0.5-foot accuracy, delivered in ESRI shapefile/geodatabase format.
Kramer Service Group delivered complete construction for the City of West Des Moines Digital Enterprise initiative, encompassing over 280,000 linear feet of HDPE conduit and 907 vaults installed to SUDAS standards. The completed network provides future-ready infrastructure for multi-user fiber deployment.
